Class Updates & How to Book

Hello everyone,

Just letting you know about the classes that are on offer in April. As we move into Spring it is time to get moving and meditating more! Put a spring in your step!

I have added a brand new class - Tai Chi & Chi Kung in various locations and we have another series of the popular Learn to Meditate class in Cahir.

Read on for all the info and how to book your place!

NEW! Infinite Tai Chi & Chi Kung Classes:

Infinite Tai chi is a slow, gentle, flowing series of movements designed to balance your physical, emotional and energetic systems. It is sometimes described as a moving meditation. Chi Kung is a series of movements repeated several times and it raises your vibration or life force energy.

These classes are suitable for all levels of ability and fitness and no experience is necessary.

Classes will run in three locations starting in April as follows:

  • Clogheen: Monday, 17th at 7pm
  • Cahir: Wednesday, 19th at 8pm
  • Duhill: Thursday, 20th at 9:45am

Make sure to select the correct location

Each class will consist of:

  • Chi Kung warm up
  • Chi Kung practice & breath work
  • Tai Chi form & breath work
  • Short meditation (if time allows)

Classes last for 1hr 15mins. Max number of places are 10 in each location. Cost: €12 - €15 depending on the location. Pay as you go.

April Series: Learn to Meditate

A big congratulations to everyone who completed the last series of Meditation & Mindfulness classes in March. I love seeing students grow and evolve as they progress through their meditation practice each week. Thanks to all who participated and for sharing your time with me to learn to meditate.

If you would like to learn how meditation can help change your life by creating more peace and calm within then please do join us for the next series starting on Wednesday, 19th April. Learn how to release stress & anxiety so that you can live life fully!

Past attendees are most welcome to return too as the weekly group sessions help you stay on track with your practice. No two series are ever exactly the same - there is always something more to learn!

Here are the details for the April session:

  • Date: Wednesday, 19th April, 2023 at 6:45pm
  • Location: Sukha Wellness Centre, Cahir
  • Duration: 1 hour weekly for 5 weeks
  • Cost: €50 for 5 weeks

Yoga classes continue in both Clogheen, Thurs 7pm and Duhill, Mon 9:45am with Chair Yoga afterwards in Duhill at 11:15am.

My tip for the month of April:

Breathe! Yes, I know we all breathe but how often do you breathe properly?

Oftentimes we breathe from the upper chest, known as shallow breath. Here are a few guidelines to help you breathe deeper and mindfully:

Equal Breath: Exhale is same length as Inhale

  • Inhale slow and deeply for a count of 4 right down to the lower abdomen..... feel the abdomen expand
  • exhale long and slow for a count of 4..... abdomen contracts
  • after a few rounds rest for a moment and let the breath go at it's own pace. Notice how the body feels, how the mind feels.

If you find a count of 4 too much then count for 3. Take a few moments each day to breathe slowly and mindfully.

It's so easy to do and hugely beneficial for our health and wellbeing. Calmer mind, calmer body and more lovely oxygen to help energise all our cells! That's got to be good!

Give it a go and see if you notice the difference it makes.

I am really looking forward to sharing the wonderful ancient arts of Tai Chi, Chi Chung, Yoga & Meditation with you and look forward to meeting with you in April for plenty of working with the Chi and raising our vibrations to the next level!
