Why is it we nearly always focus on the 'how to do' something when we are presented with a problem? We tend to think about how to work harder, smarter, make more money, generate more clients.
Sometimes though you simply need to take a step back and reflect....
and consider "What is your WHY"?
Why do you want to work harder, smarter?
Why do you want to make more money?
Does the way in which you choose to make money make you feel happy?
Do you actually like what you do?
What is driving you to work as 'x' or 'y'?
We can figure out many, many ways to do something but if it still doesn't make us feel good then why do it?
Simon Sinek says that those who start with why, have the ability to inspire those around them or find others who inspire them.
So today ask yourself: "What is my why"?
Write down your answers in a notebook or journal. Do this over a few days. Ask yourself the question in each area of your life: work, family, relationships, health etc. Be gentle with yourself and take time to reflect on what you have written.
